# with_effort_model_params

Replace existing effort settings with the standard flat parameter.

## Signature

```python
with_effort_model_params(
    model_spec: str,
    existing: dict[str, Any] | None,
    effort: str,
) -> dict[str, Any]
```

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|------|------|----------|-------------|
| `model_spec` | `str` | Yes | `provider:model` spec for the active model. |
| `existing` | `dict[str, Any] \| None` | Yes | Current per-session model constructor parameters. |
| `effort` | `str` | Yes | Profile-advertised effort label to apply. |

## Returns

`dict[str, Any]`

New model parameters containing `reasoning_effort` and all unrelated
