# pricing_data_available

Report whether `genai-prices` is currently able to price a request.

Note that `True` also covers "not yet attempted", so callers must only
consult this after pricing has been tried -- otherwise a session that has
priced nothing reads as healthy.

## Signature

```python
pricing_data_available() -> bool
```

## Returns

`bool`

`False` when the most recent import failed, or when the most recent
construction of `Usage` rejected this package's normalized field
schema. Either way callers can explain an empty cost figure as a
broken pricing install rather than as models that have no published
rates.
