# save_auto_mode_notice

Persist that the Auto first-enable notice was shown.

Merges into any existing approval state so YOLO acknowledgement fields are
preserved. Concurrent saves are serialized with a cross-process lock.
Callers should fail open when this returns `False`.

## Signature

```python
save_auto_mode_notice(
    path: Path | None = None,
) -> bool
```

## Parameters

| `path` | `Path \| None` | No | Alternate approval-state path for tests. (default: `None`) |

## Returns

`bool`

`True` when the private atomic write succeeds, otherwise `False`.
